Jamil Karim is a California local of Indian descent who holds a BA in Philosophy and a prolonged interest in writing and journalism.Among his many interests, he is particularly passionate about 3 fields; travel, fitness, and music

After traveling to numerous countries in various regions ranging from Latin America to Europe and the Middle East, he has experienced many cultures and places of historical significance which can be discussed thoroughly. The most recent of these was a three month excursion backpacking around the Mediterranean and Middle East, traversing Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, and Egypt. A one year span in Korea teaching English is next on prospects to come.

In addition, he is a certified personal trainer with a nine year history of extensive training in health and fitness. This is a rapidly growing field, and he prides himself on his abilities to stay up to date with different methods of training, diet, nutrition and supplementation as well as his own physical achievements.

A third topic of particular interest is in the recent developments of music, particularly in the genre of electronica. Fascinated with music from early childhood, his tastes have been numerous in nature, ranging from heavy metal to hip hop and finally settling on the scenes of house and trance. He currently subscribes to numerous genres and artists within the field and has personally seen many different DJ's in a variety of venues and countries.
